A refinery-focused industrial employer in Tanzania is looking for a careful and capable Laboratory Technician to take charge of routine laboratory work. Key Duties

  • Carry out physical and chemical tests on incoming materials, samples taken during processing, and completed products using approved testing methods.

  • Take part in internal inspections, audits, and improvement activities aimed at raising laboratory performance.
  • Offer direction and technical assistance to junior laboratory staff when needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another closely related physical science field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of practical laboratory experience, ideally in oil and gas, lubricants, petrochemicals, refinery operations, or a similar industrial setting.
  • Strong grasp of lab testing techniques, quality control processes, and analytical instruments.
