About the role
The company is seeking an experienced Optimisation Lead to join its People Technology team. This position plays a central role in keeping the Dayforce platform effective and continuously improving, with particular emphasis on payroll and workforce management capabilities. The role supports better user experience, drives platform enhancements, and helps ensure HR systems keep pace with changing business requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review platform updates and spot opportunities to improve system capability.
- Assess, prioritise, and manage enhancement requests based on business needs.
- Build and maintain a future-focused improvement roadmap for the platform.
- Advise governance groups on system strategy and direction.
- Serve as the main point of contact between HR, Payroll, IT, and other business stakeholders.
- Convert business requirements into clear system specifications.
- Share progress updates on enhancements and related project work.
- Oversee day-to-day performance of all modules, including payroll and workforce management.
- Maintain data accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support configuration updates and the rollout of new policies.
- Uphold strong governance practices, including security and access management.
- Create and update training guides and user support materials.
- Deliver training and encourage adoption across the organisation.
- Act as the escalation contact for complex issues and system-related queries.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Dayforce or a comparable HCM platform.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, workforce management, and HR technology systems.
- Background in HRIS/ERP optimisation and delivery of platform improvements.
- Understanding of HR compliance and regulatory obligations.
- Experience managing projects and delivering roadmap-based initiatives.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Ability to balance technical delivery with wider business priorities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle several initiatives at once.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications in HR technology or project management are preferred but not mandatory.
