Creative Director

Role overview

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Creative Director in Denver, Colorado to shape and elevate creative output across brand identity, digital experiences, printed materials, social media, and integrated campaigns. This position is best suited to a concept-led visual leader who can think strategically, communicate ideas persuasively, and stay involved in execution from the first brief through final delivery. The role combines leadership, collaboration, and direct creative contribution within an agency setting.

You will help build clear and compelling brand stories, support the development of the creative team, and make sure every deliverable is polished, purposeful, and aligned with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of creative solutions for branding efforts, cross-channel campaigns, digital deliverables, print pieces, social assets, and experiential projects.
• Translate business needs and client objectives into fresh concepts and visually strong communications that support brand strategy.
• Oversee work through the full creative process, from briefing and ideation to design direction, revisions, and final handoff.
• Offer clear art direction and constructive feedback to designers, writers, freelance specialists, and outside production partners.
• Confidently present the creative point of view in client meetings, formal presentations, and new business pitches.
• Partner with account, strategy, and production teams to keep outputs aligned with scope, timing, budget, and brand guidelines.
• Contribute to concepting, layout improvements, visual storytelling, and direct design work when needed.
• Mentor junior and mid-level creative talent while maintaining a consistent standard of quality across accounts.
• Help support agency growth through pitch materials, stronger positioning, and work that can be featured in portfolios and case studies.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in design, advertising, or a comparable creative environment, with progression into senior creative leadership.
• Background in an agency environment, preferably a smaller or mid-sized setting where flexibility and collaboration matter.
• A portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking, polished execution, and successful work across multiple channels.
• Deep understanding of branding, typography, layout, visual systems, and content development.
• Experience presenting work to clients and earning confidence through clear reasoning and communication.
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced, deadline-focused setting.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud; experience with Figma or similar digital collaboration tools is a plus.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and partnership skills, along with knowledge of both print and digital production workflows.
