AI/ML Engineer

Role overview

This opportunity is for an experienced AI/ML Engineer with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models. The position is aimed at strengthening advanced security platforms by building intelligent systems for automated red-teaming, vulnerability discovery, adversarial attack simulation, and AI-driven defence capabilities.

The role is highly hands-on and involves taking AI models from research to production. You will work with AI researchers, software engineers, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable AI solutions that improve and protect AI-enabled systems and workflows.

AI/ML model development

• Design, research, train, fine-tune, and assess LLMs, intelligent agents, and deep learning models for AI security use cases and system optimisation.
• Build advanced capabilities for automated red-teaming, vulnerability identification, adversarial testing, and defensive response mechanisms.
• Develop and deploy AI/LLM-powered features as dependable, scalable, and secure parts of the security platform.
• Improve models for faster inference, lower cost, and better use of computing resources in production.

MLOps and workflow pipelines

• Create and support end-to-end pipelines for AI/LLM work, including data preparation, training, fine-tuning, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Track model behaviour and performance in live environments, and address safety, alignment, and security issues as they arise.
• Apply solid software engineering practices to ensure AI/LLM workflows are deployed safely and smoothly.

Collaboration and delivery

• Work closely with researchers and engineers to turn advanced AI/LLM methods into product-ready solutions.
• Convert technical ideas into practical outcomes that support customer requirements and business goals.
• Document work clearly and present findings to support informed, data-led decisions.

AI security and research

• Create tools and approaches to identify and reduce threats such as prompt injection and data poisoning.
• Explore reinforcement learning from human feedback to improve model alignment and reliability.
• Stay current with new developments and research so the platform can adopt leading AI/LLM techniques.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or another quantitative discipline.
• Three to five years of professional experience, including practical work on developing, training, and deploying AI/LLM models.
• Working knowledge of tools and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, or comparable libraries.
• Good understanding of LLM security risks and the methods used to reduce them.
• Proven ability to deploy AI/ML models in production, especially in secure environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability for complex AI challenges.
• Preferred experience includes fine-tuning and serving large language models using tools such as vLLM or TGI.
• Exposure to RLHF for improving alignment and performance of LLMs.
• Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone or Weaviate and how they fit into AI workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed computing for large-scale AI systems.
• Ability to improve production models for speed, cost, and resource efficiency.
