Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, meetings, training sessions, and travel coordination for the team.
- Keep records, correspondence, and personnel files organized and accurate.
- Assist with hiring-related tasks, including onboarding and offboarding support.
- Handle purchasing, invoicing, and other operational duties that keep the section running smoothly.
- Provide general administrative help for special assignments and day-to-day business needs.
Required qualifications
- Three years of combined education and experience in office, clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, or general administrative work.
- At least one year of customer service experience, including handling complaints or resolving conflicts.
- Comfort using computer applications for drafting documents, managing email, and presenting data.
- Ability to independently draft, format, proofread, and polish professional correspondence.
- Working knowledge of agency values such as respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred experience
- Background in setting up efficient systems for filing, retrieving, and distributing documents.
- Familiarity with processing invoice and purchase payments.
- Experience preparing and delivering informational materials with presentation software.
- Ability to drive a vehicle to move equipment and materials between worksites when needed.
- Prior experience arranging meetings and travel plans.
