Position Summary

The Retail Store Associate is a customer-facing role in a fast-moving retail environment. It is designed for someone who can work independently as well as with a team, while helping deliver a positive experience for customers and supporting their healthcare-related needs.

Key Duties

• Deliver attentive and personalized service by recognizing customer needs, showing empathy, and helping solve service concerns.
• Welcome customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and assist them in finding products or additional items when needed.
• Handle register duties accurately, including cash, checks, and card payments, while following company procedures.
• Keep the sales area organized by restocking merchandise, receiving vendor deliveries, updating prices, and completing inventory-related tasks as assigned.
• Help with store opening and closing activities when required.
• Support multiple departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked, functional, and up to date with current tools and services.
• Assist pharmacy team members when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company’s health-focused mission.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to remain standing for extended periods.
• Can lift and move objects as needed, including up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and minimal force regularly, with overhead lifting included.
• Must have the visual ability to use a computer, read information, and inspect small details.

Preferred Background

• Prior experience in retail or customer service is an advantage.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Hours and Compensation

This role is expected to average 40 hours per week and is a full-time position. The base hourly pay range is $16.00 to $23.00, with the final offer depending on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations.
