Scrum Master

Role overview

This is a remote Scrum Master contract role based in the United States. The initial contract term is 6 months, with a likely extension of an additional 6 to 12 months.

What you will do

• Provide Agile delivery support for one or more assigned teams, working under the direction of the Senior Scrum Master Lead.
• Run team-level Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Keep team boards and delivery records up to date, including Jira storyboards and sprint backlogs, so the work stays current and accurately reflected.
• Contribute to sprint forecasting, capacity planning, and making sure the backlog is ready for execution.
• Identify, track, and escalate blockers, risks, and dependencies to the Senior Scrum Master Lead, and help drive assigned follow-up actions to completion.
• Support the monitoring and reporting of basic delivery metrics and assist with regular status updates.
• Encourage Agile practices, reinforce shared working agreements, and support continuous improvement activities within the team.
• Develop effective working relationships with IT colleagues and business partners.

Skills and qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience supporting Agile delivery.
• Solid understanding of Scrum concepts and Agile methods.
• Well-developed organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to surface risks and issues early.
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Scrum Master certification is considered an added advantage.

The engagement begins as a 6-month contract and may be extended for another 6 to 12 months.
