Overview
Marqcon Pty Ltd is hiring two skilled full-time Renderers and Solid Plasterers for ongoing permanent work in Sydney, New South Wales. The company delivers precast concrete repair, patching, skim coating, rendering, remedial building works, and construction labour support across homes, commercial properties, and major construction sites throughout Sydney and nearby areas.
Role details
This position is based in Sydney, NSW and follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with Saturday work required from time to time. The work will be carried out across a mix of sites, including precast concrete manufacturing facilities, residential projects, commercial buildings, and large-scale construction environments.
Key duties
- Apply rendering, solid plastering, and skim coat finishes to a high-quality standard.
- Carry out patching and repairs on precast concrete panels and related surfaces.
- Perform skimming and final finishing on precast concrete components.
- Prepare surfaces by grinding, cleaning, and correcting defects before repair work begins.
- Mix and apply repair mortars, rendering materials, and other associated products.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and job requirements to complete work correctly.
- Keep the workplace safe, tidy, and well maintained at all times.
- Work closely with site supervisors, builders, and project teams to achieve strong quality outcomes.
Experience and skills required
Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in rendering, solid plastering, or a comparable trade. A Certificate III in Solid Plastering is required. Previous exposure to precast concrete patching and repair work will be viewed favourably. The role also calls for the ability to work alone or as part of a team, strong accuracy, and a clear commitment to excellent workmanship. A White Card is required, and a current driver’s licence is preferred because the work spans multiple sites across Sydney and surrounding areas.
