The position is designed for an ambitious finance student or early-career professional who wants direct exposure to private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and investment research. You will analyze companies, markets, ownership structures, and transaction activity while contributing to investment intelligence work for clients across Europe. Responsibilities
- Research and assess companies in depth by gathering, reviewing, and interpreting financial, operational, and market data.
- Build detailed summaries of businesses, industry landscapes, ownership structures, competitor sets, and M&A deal histories.
- Evaluate possible platform and add-on acquisition targets and contribute insights that inform investment decisions.
- Support research assignments covering niche sectors, new trends, and broader market developments in private markets.
- Work closely with teammates to deliver high-quality intelligence and investment-focused analysis for clients.
- Help with project coordination and take part in initiatives that improve operations and platform performance.
- Use technology and data-enabled tools to strengthen research quality, speed, and analytical output.
- Maintain a strong standard of precision, detail orientation, and professionalism in all deliverables.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program or in the third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative subject.
- At least 6 months of prior experience in private equity, M&A, investment banking, transaction services, or a similar area.
- Strong academic performance, with consistently excellent grades from a respected university.
- Clear interest in finance, investing, private markets, and business analysis.
- Well-developed analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate business performance.
- Strong research ability and the capability to turn complex information into practical, easy-to-use insights.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Additional European language skills such as Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or others are a plus.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Availability to work full time for at least 6 months.
