Role overview
Azim Premji University is seeking a Placements Executive focused on Training & Operations to strengthen its placement ecosystem. The position supports the university’s placement efforts by planning and running structured pre-placement training, coordinating skill-building activities, and ensuring that students are well prepared for placement opportunities. The role also requires close collaboration with academic teams, careful handling of logistics, data management, analysis, and active support during campus placement activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design, and help deliver organized pre-placement training sessions.
- Coordinate the scheduling and execution of training activities across different academic programmes.
- Handle the full training workflow, including logistics, communication, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Create and maintain digital tools such as Google Forms for feedback, assessments, and data gathering.
- Review training participation and related data to identify patterns and insights that can improve student outcomes.
- Keep precise records of student participation, training events, and placement-related information.
- Support initiatives that build employability, career readiness, and broader skill development.
- Work with faculty members and programme teams to align training support with student needs and competencies.
- Prepare regular reports covering training impact, participation trends, and operational challenges.
- Ensure placement activities follow university policies, internal procedures, and required timelines.
- Assist with on-campus placement drives and related coordination tasks.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline.
- At least five years of relevant experience in higher education, skill development, social development training, youth engagement, or work with community stakeholders.
- Strong skills in presentations and facilitation.
- Good coordination and organizational capability.
- Clear written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, especially Google Forms and data analysis tools; familiarity with digital tracking systems is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret data and apply findings to improve programme effectiveness.
- A student-focused mindset with the ability to connect with and motivate young people.
- Experience in creating and delivering employability or career-readiness training programmes.
- Knowledge of, or certification in, Skill Development / Employability Training.
- Comfort working collaboratively in a fast-moving academic setting.
