The main goal is to ensure contract compliance and uphold G4S operational standards on site.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out surprise inspections and audits of security officers at their posts to check alertness, uniform standards, and compliance with post orders.
- Assess guard performance, record breaches such as sleeping on duty or other procedural lapses, and formalize findings.
- Provide immediate correction, coaching, and disciplinary action in line with company HR and operational procedures.
- Make sure every officer on duty understands site-specific SOPs and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Control shift handovers, check-ins, and muster parades so that all posts remain covered across the sector.
- Address staffing gaps, call-outs, and no-shows quickly by reallocating staff to open posts.
- Review and approve physical or digital timesheets, daily activity reports, and shift logs for completeness and accuracy.
- Deliver practical on-site induction and training for newly assigned security staff.
- Act immediately as the senior authority on site during serious alarms, breaches, medical incidents, or structural emergencies.
- Prepare detailed and legally defensible incident reports, making sure statements, evidence, and CCTV records are properly secured.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in private security, including a minimum of 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
- A valid, clean driver’s licence is required, with Class A or motorcycle endorsement if assigned to a bike unit.
- Valid Ghana Card is mandatory.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong leadership ability to enforce discipline, earn respect, and project authority with clients and the public.
- Good conflict-resolution skills, including de-escalation, mediation, and fair handling of employee grievances.
- Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
Additional information
