Role overview

A global FMCG business is looking for a Logistics Manager to take charge of its Dubai operations and international distribution network. This is a practical, commercially focused position suited to someone who can improve end-to-end logistics performance, reduce cost-to-serve, and put scalable processes in place as the company grows. There is also future scope to support warehousing activities in the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a logistics plan that supports efficient, cost-conscious, and scalable operations across a global supply chain.
• Handle freight movement, transportation, import and export activity, customs clearance, and shipments to international distributors.
• Manage warehouse operations in current Dubai sites and assist with the launch and running of future EU warehouses.
• Supervise the performance of 3PL partners and other vendors such as warehouses, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers against agreed SLAs.
• Choose carriers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and deliver measurable reductions in logistics spend while maintaining service quality.
• Improve shipping approaches, route planning, pallet usage, and transport solutions to raise overall efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, production teams, and loading teams to align shipments and maintain product availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and visibility across owned and third-party storage locations, including replenishment planning.
• Oversee order fulfilment to ensure deliveries are accurate, timely, and cost-effective across international markets.
• Create and maintain KPI dashboards covering transport cost, warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, stock levels, on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all import/export, customs, and shipping documentation meets regulatory and operational requirements.
• Prepare and manage commercial invoices, customs paperwork, packing lists, and transport documentation.
• Investigate delays, claims, and complaints, then carry out root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage logistics budgets, freight spend, and forecasts, while identifying opportunities to improve working capital and operational efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data, best practices, and collaboration with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance, including support for new product launches.
