Role Overview
This position supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of cross-functional product development and commercialization projects within Greentank’s Cannabis portfolio. Working alongside the Senior Project Manager and teams across Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Commercial functions, the Junior Project Manager helps keep projects moving on schedule by tracking milestones, organizing documentation, coordinating activities, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
The role is also responsible for spotting potential risks, raising issues early, and helping ensure strategic initiatives are executed smoothly. It is designed to build project management capability in a fast-moving, collaborative setting while contributing to product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Project coordination and delivery
- Assist with product development and commercialization work from early concept through launch and post-launch follow-up.
- Help build and update project plans, timelines, milestone trackers, and action logs.
- Coordinate work across several active projects and keep deliverables on track.
- Monitor progress and flag delays, risks, or other issues before they grow.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and help drive timely resolution.
- Keep project records current and ensure outputs meet stage-gate expectations.
- Support strong execution, order, and accountability across the team.
Cross-functional partnership
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Commercial teams to move projects forward.
- Run or support project meetings and make sure decisions, actions, and follow-ups are documented.
- Help align stakeholder priorities, deadlines, and resource needs.
- Assist with problem-solving by identifying blockers and escalating when needed.
- Develop effective working relationships that support clear communication and teamwork.
Customer and external partner coordination
- Support customer-facing development work and commercialization efforts.
- Coordinate with customers, manufacturing partners, suppliers, testing labs, and other external providers.
- Make sure customer needs are captured and reflected in project planning.
- Share timely updates on schedules, milestones, and project activity.
- Help with customer meetings, technical reviews, and launch-related tasks as needed.
Product development and commercialization support
- Support the Senior Project Manager in converting product requirements into workable project plans.
- Coordinate engineering, testing, validation, regulatory submissions, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Assist with BOM management, product documentation, cost tracking, and change control.
- Support commercialization readiness, including inventory planning, supply chain coordination, and production ramp-up.
- Help with launch-readiness reviews and post-launch follow-up.
Risk management and process improvement
- Identify technical, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing, and scheduling risks.
- Support the creation and follow-through of mitigation plans.
- Maintain trackers, reports, and governance documents.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in project tools, processes, and ways of working.
- Support adoption of portfolio and project management best practices.
Reporting and communication
- Maintain dashboards and status reports for active projects.
- Provide visibility into timelines, milestones, tasks, and risks.
- Prepare materials and updates for leadership review meetings.
- Support portfolio planning and review activities when needed.
- Keep project documentation accurate, orderly, and current.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related discipline is required.
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, product development, or a similar area is needed.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a creative, improvement-oriented mindset.
- Comfort working in teams and contributing toward shared goals.
- Clear and effective communication with a range of stakeholders.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and following applicable standards.
- Ethical judgment, honesty, transparency, and reliability when handling sensitive information.
- An inclusive, respectful approach to working with others.
- Dependability and ownership of assigned workstreams with the ability to meet deadlines.
- PMP certification is an added advantage.
- Experience in consumer electronics, cannabis, medical devices, or other regulated industries is beneficial.
- Proficiency with project management tools.
