About the role

The role is for a Software Engineer within the Selling Partner Services team. You will help build tools and platforms that power Amazon’s seller ecosystem and consumer-facing business. The work centers on analyzing sizable datasets, building scalable front-end and software solutions, and creating visual insights that support business decisions. You will partner closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineering peers to turn complex needs into reliable, high-performing products. The role also includes contributing to technical standards, mentoring less experienced engineers, and helping strengthen the team’s engineering culture.

Key responsibilities

Work with product, design, and stakeholder teams to turn business and technical needs into detailed architecture and functional software.
Build and support software products that improve internal and external business processes.
Produce code that is clean, maintainable, and efficient, and take part in code reviews and design conversations.
Own system quality by contributing to testing across system, functional, and integration levels.
Design for scalability, reliability, and strong performance across the systems you work on.
Coordinate with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful work within expected timelines and scope.
Guide junior engineers, encourage engineering best practices, and help maintain a healthy technical environment.
Keep exploring newer technologies and development approaches to improve product quality and team delivery.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience working with agile software development practices.
Hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Experience creating scalable and dependable software systems.
Good understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, and testing methods.
Strong communication and teamwork skills for working across multiple functions.
Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into technical solutions.
Exposure to data visualization and large dataset handling is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
