Opportunity overview
Handshake is seeking seasoned FP&A specialists to support AI research through flexible, part-time contract work. The assignment is designed for professionals who have practical experience in financial planning, budgeting, and retail performance analysis, and who can assess AI-generated outputs with an eye toward how retail finance work is actually done.
This is an ongoing, project-based engagement that can be handled alongside your current role.
Key work
- Develop expert-level training questions and scenarios drawn from genuine retail finance workflows.
- Assess AI-generated answers for correctness and how well they match real planning and analysis practices.
- Write clear, structured feedback that helps improve model quality.
- Work independently and complete assignments on your own schedule, with no fixed hours or minimum weekly commitment.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in retail finance or FP&A, including experience in roles such as FP&A Analyst or Senior FP&A Analyst.
- Practical exposure to budget variance analysis, hindsight analysis, store performance reporting, and demand forecasting.
- Strong written communication and close attention to detail.
- Comfort working remotely in an asynchronous setting without direct supervision.
