Role overview

Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking a full-time Baker for Trine University in Angola, Indiana. This role is based on site at 1 University Avenue, Angola, IN 46703, and only online applications are accepted.

Pay for this role ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.

What the role involves

• Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other baked items according to production and catering sheets.
• Support daily production planning so output matches expected demand.
• Follow approved recipes, production standards, and equipment procedures to ensure food is prepared correctly.
• Track waste, remaining portions, and shortages, and update production records as needed.
• Alert a supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Maintain portion control, food quality, proper presentation, and safe holding temperatures.
• Keep all tools, utensils, equipment, and the work area clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Handle food safely and comply with all preparation and service safety rules.
• Clean workstations and equipment thoroughly before moving on to other tasks.
• Ensure display equipment remains clean and free of debris.
• Respond to customer questions and concerns in a courteous, service-focused way and escalate issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Work efficiently during busy production and service periods while staying calm and accurate.
• Verify that all food is served, displayed, and presented according to standards.
• Follow sanitation, safety, corporate, and OSHA requirements in daily work.
• Complete assigned shift duties promptly and thoroughly.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.
