A major technical focus is the use of live camera feeds for highly accurate 3D reconstruction and digital twin modeling.
Role overview
As an AI Engineer, you will design and improve perception and AI systems for industrial and robotic use cases. This role sits between applied research and production engineering, requiring you to independently train models, turn recent research into working prototypes, and mature those solutions into production-grade systems.
The client is looking for someone with broad capability across several AI areas, along with deep expertise in at least one main specialization such as computer vision, deep learning, or NLP.
Responsibilities
- Build prototype implementations from current research ideas and evolve them into dependable, high-performance production systems.
- Develop, refine, and extend computer vision solutions using both traditional methods and deep learning techniques.
- Independently create, train, tune, and troubleshoot complex PyTorch models.
- Bring NLP and LLM knowledge alongside core computer vision work to support a broader technical scope.
- Work directly with industrial camera hardware, such as Lucid devices or similar systems, to capture and analyze real-world environments.
- Use Docker-based workflows to support efficient development and deployment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent hands-on project depth such as a master’s thesis completed in a deep learning environment.
- Strong grounding in both classical and deep learning-based computer vision, with very solid practical experience in PyTorch.
- Demonstrated ability to convert research concepts into usable real-world prototypes.
- Experience with industrial camera systems is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of NLP and large language models is highly beneficial.
- Genuine interest in applied research and a habit of keeping up with the latest AI publications and advancements.
- Responsible use of AI development tools, with clear ownership of system design and architecture.
- Proactive working style, high quality standards, and strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
