About Nscale

Nscale is a GPU cloud platform built for AI workloads. It delivers high-performance, cost-conscious infrastructure for AI startups as well as large enterprises, helping them simplify AI development while improving outcomes such as cost efficiency, faster innovation, and environmental responsibility.

The company values innovation, ownership, accountability, openness, and transparency. Team members are expected to work with urgency and excellence, contributing to the systems that support the future of technology.

Role overview

This position is focused on designing and building the data, models, and workflows that support Nscale’s business operations. The role spans infrastructure, product, finance, commercial, people, and operations functions, with responsibility for shaping the operating model and data architecture that enable better decisions across the company. You will define the roadmap based on business needs, create solutions using relevant product suites such as Palantir Foundry, and work with stakeholders at every level, from leadership to frontline teams. Prior experience deploying Palantir Foundry is important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the internal roadmap for data and application platforms so that use case delivery stays aligned with business and product priorities.
  • Own specific use cases from identification through design, development, and rollout.
  • Move partner-built and experimental solutions into stable, production-ready systems owned internally.
  • Contribute to the internal Palantir Center of Excellence, including platform engineering, access administration, user support, and collaboration with the vendor on future improvements.
  • Set and apply enterprise standards for data ingestion, pipeline orchestration, semantic modeling, and interoperability across analytics tools.
  • Manage canonical data models and ontologies, including schema changes while keeping business and product needs in sync.
  • Maintain strong practices for dataset management, version control, code quality, review workflows, and reproducible AI development.
  • Design and run a secure identity and permissions framework using RBAC, restricted views, and enterprise identity integrations.
  • Combine data from development, production, and operations into a unified AI data layer for real-time insights.
  • Create feedback mechanisms for deployed AI systems to monitor reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Develop data products and internal tools that improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making.
  • Support adoption through onboarding, training, documentation, and safe self-service development practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering in fast-moving, varied environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions in Palantir Foundry is preferred.
  • Experience using Git or another version control system.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn unclear requirements into products or solutions that were successfully built, launched, and adopted.
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for working in a high-growth, fast-paced setting.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive compensation package including base pay and equity, with salary reviews every 12 months.
  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing tech startup working on advanced AI infrastructure.
  • Clear progression opportunities with support to take on new challenges, lead initiatives, and expand your impact.
  • Flexible working approach that supports autonomy and treats employees as people first.

Equal opportunity

Nscale welcomes applications from people of colour, LGBTQ+ candidates, people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Reasonable accommodations can be requested for specific needs.

The responsibilities listed here are not exhaustive. The role may include other tasks and duties assigned by management, as long as they fit the required skills and qualifications.
