About the role
This position sits within the Central Operations team in the Global Business Organization and supports GTM Commercial Ops strategy and execution. The associate will work closely with Deal Desk leadership, Central Ops, other GTM operations teams, and senior stakeholders to advise leadership, solve high-impact business issues, and help build a more scalable commercial operating model.
The role focuses on using data, process design, and AI-enabled solutions to improve how the sales organization operates, grows, and makes decisions. It also requires the ability to manage sensitive information, work through ambiguity, and contribute effectively in a fast-changing environment.
The position can be based in New York, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale. The work arrangement is hybrid, with duties performed both remotely and from a LinkedIn office on selected days depending on business needs.
Key responsibilities
The associate will analyze complex and ambiguous business problems, identify insights from data, and turn those insights into clear recommendations. They will help define targets, measure the effectiveness of scaled initiatives, and decide which efforts should be prioritized based on business impact.
The role also includes partnering with Deal Desk leadership and cross-functional teams to shape business strategy, manage complex programs, and communicate findings to senior leaders. In addition, the associate will help design and expand automated workflows for commercial operations processes such as order management and pricing by working with Sales Ops, Tech, and Data teams on AI/ML-based or rules-driven automation.
Other expectations include quickly learning the SaaS and Marketing businesses, taking ownership of broad workstreams, staying proactive, and conducting market and competitor research to support strategic recommendations.
Required background
Candidates should hold a BA/BS degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a strategic, analytical, or operational role is required, such as Sales Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, Finance, or Analytics.
Hands-on business use of Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint for at least 2 years is expected, along with experience using AI-enabled tools in business or analytics settings. The role also calls for strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, comfort with confidential information, and the confidence to challenge existing approaches constructively.
Preferred experience
Helpful experience includes commercial operations work such as Deal Desk or pricing in SaaS, marketing, or advertising businesses. Strong knowledge of AI and automation tools, advanced Excel modeling, BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, and querying languages like SQL or Presto is highly valued.
The ideal candidate will communicate well with executives, build trust across functions, lead discussions, manage vendor or partner teams, influence without direct authority, and support large cross-functional programs in global enterprise environments.
Compensation and benefits
The advertised pay range for this role is USD 84,000 to USD 137,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience depth, certifications, and work location, and may differ in other locations because of labor-market differences.
The total package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive compensation plans.
