The team supports design-assist work from early schematic development through construction documents, backed by an in-house full-time AutoCAD staff.
Role overview
Forté Specialty Contractors is hiring a Project Engineer to support project managers and, on smaller jobs, take ownership of project coordination. The role centers on commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustics work, with a focus on keeping crews aligned, projects moving, and costs on track. This is a Las Vegas, Nevada based position.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain project records by tracking drawings, specifications, logs, RFIs, change orders, and related documentation.
- Carry out field checks, document inspection results, and flag concerns to the Project Superintendent.
- Manage change control by recording change events, coordinating with impacted trades, maintaining logs, and preparing change orders.
- Review internal invoices, coordinate schedule reviews, and help confirm that payments are received.
- Support project managers with administrative tasks so their time is used efficiently.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in framing and drywall for new construction, renovations, or interior build-outs.
- A Bachelor of Science in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline is strongly preferred and may substitute for experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Hands-on experience with Procore and project scheduling tools.
- Ability to manage confidential project information with judgment and professionalism.
- Background in luxury construction is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
This role does not list a salary. Eligible salaried employees and dependents receive fully paid health, dental, life, and vision insurance.
