Role overview
The Manager, Exports role focuses on driving product sales across international markets. The position involves understanding customer trends, shaping country-specific sales approaches, and ensuring products are available in the assigned overseas regions.
Geography covered
This role is responsible for the following markets: Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius.
Key responsibilities
- Use the current distributor base effectively and identify opportunities to grow business in profitable areas.
- Design and execute sales initiatives by studying customer needs and market requirements.
- Manage export operations from start to finish.
- Handle export-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Negotiate and renew contracts to support smooth business operations.
- Discuss and finalize pricing at both brand and SKU levels.
- Ensure sales and marketing activity stays aligned with approved budgets, volumes, targets, and timelines.
- Track distributor performance regularly and share relevant updates with management.
Scope of the role
The position covers a business scale of approximately 110 to 160 crore annually.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of export operations end to end.
- Working knowledge of export documentation and related processes.
- Ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage contract renewals.
- Experience in pricing discussions across brands and SKUs.
- Capability to plan and implement sales activities based on customer research.
- Ability to monitor distributor performance and support management reporting.
- 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization.
