Role overview
E.A. Buck is an expanding financial services firm with dual headquarters in Denver and Honolulu. The team is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations. This role centers on recruiting and staffing coordination, while also contributing to HR administration, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance work.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, well-organized, and motivated to help build a strong employee experience in a fast-moving environment. In this position, you will help keep HR processes accurate, compliant, and efficient while supporting clear communication across the organization.
The selected candidate must be based in Denver, CO and work full time from the Denver office. Only applicants currently living in Colorado will be considered.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual base pay ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities
- Handle recruiting coordination tasks such as posting openings, sourcing candidates, arranging interviews, and following up with applicants.
- Screen candidates, participate in interviews, and complete reference verification.
- Support onboarding and offboarding, along with employee files and HR documentation.
- Keep personnel records current and help ensure adherence to company policies and employment laws.
- Answer employee questions about benefits, payroll, and other HR matters.
- Assist with engagement activities, company gatherings, and internal communications.
- Help administer leaves of absence, update the employee handbook, and complete routine HR admin work.
- Maintain recruiting and HR tracking tools, databases, and reports.
- Contribute to special projects and process-improvement efforts as needed.
Requirements and preferences
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in human resources, recruiting, administration, or a similar professional setting is preferred.
- Employment is contingent on passing a background review, including fingerprinting and reference verification.
- Experience in recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition is an advantage.
- Exposure to HR administration or employee relations is desirable.
- Background in financial services, banking, insurance, or investment advisory settings is preferred.
- Experience using HRIS tools, payroll software, or ADP is helpful.
- Familiarity with onboarding and compliance workflows is preferred.
Skills
This role calls for strong communication, excellent organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, discretion, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems is also important.
