The opportunity
Infinite Aged Care is seeking a Hotel Services team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. This position sits within the wider hospitality and support function and may involve work across housekeeping, servery, kitchen support, or café duties depending on operational needs.
As a housekeeping assistant, you will contribute to infection control and resident wellbeing through thorough cleaning and laundry support. Duties may include caring for resident rooms, shared spaces, dining areas, administrative areas, entry points, and outdoor areas, along with laundry tasks that support daily resident needs.
As a servery or kitchen assistant, you will support meal preparation and dining operations by helping with food prep, plating, meal delivery, washing dishes, and keeping kitchen and dining spaces tidy. Your work will help ensure residents receive nutritious meals and a pleasant dining experience.
This is a physically active role that involves frequent bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing. You must be able to complete these tasks safely and without creating risk for yourself, your coworkers, or residents.
About you
The ideal person is caring, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a team. A positive mindset, good communication, and pride in delivering quality service are important whether your focus is cleaning, food service, or resident interaction.
The employer values attitude and willingness to learn over prior aged care experience, so previous experience in the sector is not required. However, you should share the organisation’s values, be computer literate, care about resident wellbeing, and be prepared to work safely and reliably.
Key duties and expectations
- Carry out cleaning, hospitality, food service, or customer-facing tasks depending on the role.
- Follow daily checklists and established safety procedures consistently.
- Use chemicals, hazardous substances, and heated equipment carefully and responsibly.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Communicate clearly, show empathy, and interact respectfully with residents.
- Arrive on time, be ready to begin shifts, and approach the day positively.
- Maintain a safety-first approach while supporting colleagues so everyone finishes work safely.
