Role overview

This position is responsible for the safe, timely movement and processing of cargo, including aircraft loading and unloading and warehousing work, while following the required operational standards.

Key duties

  • Load and unload aircraft and trucks as part of daily cargo operations.
  • Operate ground support equipment when assigned.
  • Lift packages repeatedly, with individual items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Sort parcels according to customer, destination airport, and other applicable criteria.
  • Share piece counts and package details with Lead Hands and Supervisors.
  • Handle customer freight and packages carefully and responsibly.

  • Work with the team to meet time-sensitive freight build-up and breakdown deadlines.

  • Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work daily in and around aircraft.
  • Take on other related tasks as needed.

Minimum qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent practical experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or an equivalent credential.
  • Ability to secure a RAIC pass and Transport Canada security clearance.
  • Capability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs.
