This is a full-time opening for a Midweight Front End Developer with .NET knowledge to join the expanding development team. The team works hard, keeps things enjoyable, and takes pride in delivering polished, high-quality products.
The successful person will contribute to a broad range of work, including websites, applications, and system software, using a mix of persistence technologies. Strong communication and professionalism are considered essential, both with clients and within the team. The business particularly values applicants who have had some support-focused experience at some stage in their career.
The role is based in central Bournemouth, a location known for its fast-growing digital economy and coastal setting.
Key Duties
- Work across projects with back-end developers, designers, and other specialists in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Write tidy, efficient, and testable code using current web technologies.
- Create applications that work well on mobile devices.
- Review web applications and improve them for search visibility and accessibility.
- Partner with designers, developers, and product owners to deliver interactive, scalable digital products.
- Inspect existing code, refactor where needed, and help maintain code quality.
- Develop and support frontend tooling such as Webpack and Gulp.
- Investigate bugs, resolve issues, and support upgrades to existing systems.
- Follow company policies, standards, and best practices for development, documentation, maintenance, and delivery approaches.
- Stay up to date with newer technologies and be willing to learn new languages and tools.
- Take responsibility for your own work and manage tasks independently.
- Communicate with internal colleagues to clarify requirements and join quoting meetings when needed.
Experience and Skills Needed
- At least 2 years of experience working as a front-end developer.
- Strong understanding of browser debugging and troubleshooting methods.
- At least 2 years of experience with markup languages.
- At least 2 years of experience using JavaScript (ES6) and CSS, including SASS or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably VueJS, or alternatively React or Angular.
- At least 2 years of experience with front-end component libraries such as Bootstrap or Tailwind.
- Practical knowledge of clean code, secure development practices, design patterns, code smells, and refactoring.
- Comfort using authoring tools such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Good troubleshooting ability and a resourceful approach to problem solving.
- Commercial experience working with RESTful APIs.

Qualifications
- A BA in Computer Science or a closely related field is preferred.
