Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for core accounting and finance operations across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Travel & Expense processes. The position requires 2–3 years of relevant experience in the Indian business environment and involves handling financial transactions, maintaining statutory compliance such as GST, and contributing to month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts receivable activities by ensuring revenue is recognized correctly in line with applicable accounting standards such as Ind AS.
- Prepare and record revenue-related journal entries and accrual entries.
- Maintain deferred revenue schedules and complete related reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Track AR aging and manage cash application activities.
- Handle accounts payable tasks with attention to GST and TDS compliance.
- Process vendor invoices and resolve vendor discrepancies through reconciliations.
- Monitor AP aging to help ensure payments are made on time.
- Support internal audits and statutory audits as needed.
- Review employee travel and expense claims against company policy and Indian regulatory requirements.
- Process reimbursements and respond to employee queries related to expenses.
- Spot non-compliant claims and help implement corrective action.
- Reconcile corporate card transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or a related field such as B.Com, M.Com, or MBA in Finance.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting in India.
- Working knowledge of GST, including input tax credit and invoicing compliance.
- Understanding of TDS provisions.
- Foundational knowledge of Ind AS principles.
- Experience using finance tools such as NetSuite and Expensify, or similar systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn.
- Preferred: experience in shared services or a multinational work environment.
- Preferred: proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
