Role Summary

The Draftsperson will create precise and detailed technical drawings for civil structures and systems on the Snowy 2.0 Project. The role requires adherence to design standards and specifications, support for shop drawing preparation, and assistance in spotting design or construction issues that could affect delivery.

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in civil drafting, ideally on major infrastructure or hydro projects and within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Keep drawing registers current, maintain filing systems, and archive records in line with document control and version management procedures.
  • Work with engineers and the senior draftsperson to resolve drafting-related issues.
  • Ensure all drawings follow project standards and that revisions are properly tracked.
  • Assist with document control tasks and drawing submission workflows.
  • Carry out basic quantity take-offs and confirm or adjust bar lists from drawings.
  • Attend design review sessions and incorporate feedback into revised drawings.
  • Help support environmental and safety compliance by accurately reflecting site constraints in drawings.
  • Recognise and report design conflicts or construction clashes.
