What you will do

You will work with information from several sources, turning it into clean and reliable data that can be used for analysis and reporting. The position includes routine statistical work, creating straightforward reports and dashboards, and supporting the preparation of simple data models alongside more experienced colleagues. You will also help explain results through written notes and visuals that are understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In addition, you will partner with researchers, project leaders, and administrative staff to keep data organised, accurate, and useful for active projects.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in analytical thinking and data analysis, with the ability to spot patterns and support evidence-based conclusions. A basic understanding of statistics and data modelling is important for assisting with analysis, checking outputs, and helping refine simple models.

You should be comfortable communicating clearly and professionally, whether you are summarising findings, writing documentation, or working with different teams. Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar platforms is expected, and an interest in learning visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

Applicants should be studying toward, or already hold, a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, or another quantitative discipline. The role also calls for strong attention to detail, the ability to manage time well in a part-time hybrid arrangement, and a commitment to high data quality. Interest in scientific or research settings will be an advantage.
