Role Overview
Moomoo is expanding its Corporate Affairs capability to support sustainable growth by strengthening brand credibility, trust, and long-term stakeholder confidence. The Communications Manager in Singapore will play a central role in developing and advancing the company’s corporate narrative, external reputation, and influence with key audiences.
This is a hands-on position that combines strategy and delivery across communications planning, media relations, executive positioning, thought leadership, digital content, events, and issues management. The role reports to the Regional Head of Corporate Affairs and sits within a broader regional team covering Communications, Strategic Partnerships, and Investor Education.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, trusted adviser, and organised operator who can balance high-level thinking with detailed execution. Success in this role requires maturity, resilience, strong judgment, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment with senior stakeholders and shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams, under the direction of the Regional Head of Corporate Affairs, to create thought leadership and stakeholder engagement initiatives that support priority business themes.
- Turn complex subjects in finance, technology, and investing into clear, persuasive, and credible content for varied audiences.
- Help produce and distribute bylines, viewpoints, speeches, commentaries, and other expert materials.
- Spot and pursue opportunities for speaking slots, industry forums, convenings, and similar platforms that support strategic goals.
- Lead ongoing media engagement, including outreach, story development, interview preparation, message development, monitoring coverage, and responding to issues.
- Build and sustain relationships with business, financial, capital markets, lifestyle, and technology media across local, regional, and international outlets.
- Identify strong media opportunities for the local CEO and other spokespeople to raise the company’s profile.
- Support senior leaders with interviews, speeches, panel participation, op-eds, briefing documents, and broader stakeholder communications.
- Use sound judgment to manage reputation-sensitive matters, announcements, and complex stakeholder situations.
- Support corporate announcements and internal communications as needed.
- Ensure external and internal messaging stays consistent, accurate, and aligned with brand values and business priorities.
- Act as a guardian of the company’s identity, voice, and communication standards across channels and stakeholder touchpoints.
- Decide thoughtfully on timing, volume, and approach for communication activities, including when to execute, reduce, or hold back.
- Support issues management and crisis preparedness locally, with guidance from global and regional teams.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent post-secondary qualification, in communications, journalism, business, finance, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications gained through agency, corporate, media relations, or journalism roles.
- Prior exposure to finance, securities, or insurance environments is preferred.
- Good familiarity with financial products and services.
- A strong network of contacts across business, financial, investing, lifestyle, and technology media in Singapore, the region, and international markets.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling ability, with the skill to simplify complex topics while preserving accuracy and depth.
- Well-developed business communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas clearly and work collaboratively across functions.
- Self-driven, results-focused, and able to perform well under pressure as part of a team.
- Practical, resourceful, and willing to contribute across strategy, execution, and administrative detail when needed.
- High ethical standards, solid problem-solving ability, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with others.
