About the role
This is a chance to begin a sales career in a fast-moving technology environment. The position is designed to help you build core sales capabilities, learn the enterprise software landscape, and grow with ongoing coaching and mentorship.
As a Business Development Representative, you will generate new sales opportunities through prospecting and cold outreach. Your focus will be on understanding both current and future IT challenges faced by organizations and showing how the company’s products and support services can address those needs. This role suits someone who is motivated, ready to move quickly, and interested in developing a strong foundation in corporate sales.
Key responsibilities
- Lead outbound pipeline generation across several simultaneous sales initiatives, with no inbound lead work.
- Test, refine, and expand messaging using performance data to improve conversion across different personas and campaigns.
- Research, identify, and qualify senior decision-makers such as CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and procurement leaders, while adapting outreach to their business goals and priorities.
- Use account signals such as triggers, intent indicators, and industry developments to create highly relevant, personalised outreach.
- Build and run multi-touch, multi-channel outbound campaigns, mainly by phone and also through email and LinkedIn, aligned to the right persona and campaign.
- Consistently secure qualified meetings that progress into pipeline opportunities meeting sales-accepted standards and expected conversion levels.
- Work closely with account executives to align on target accounts, penetration plans, and deal progress, while ensuring smooth handover.
- Keep CRM records accurate and complete so activity, pipeline contribution, and account engagement are fully visible.
- Share structured feedback with sales and marketing teams on campaign performance, messaging effectiveness, and market movement.
- Use strong commercial judgement to focus on accounts and campaigns with the greatest pipeline and revenue potential.
- Take full ownership of outbound performance, working independently and being accountable for results.
- Present the company clearly to improve conversion from leads into qualified pipeline opportunities through strong product and solution messaging.
- Set up and coordinate customer meetings to support the sales funnel and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage long-term engagement.
Requirements

- A positive and proactive mindset.
- High initiative and a strong sense of accountability.
- Persuasive communication style.
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities.
- Quick thinking and adaptability in live conversations.
- Strong desire to learn and advance professionally.

- Company pension scheme.
