Role overview

The Associate Campaign Manager will act as the operational lead supporting the Campaign Management function. Working closely with the Campaign Manager, this person will make sure campaigns are delivered smoothly, on schedule, and with complete follow-through.

This position suits someone who is highly organized, comfortable coordinating across teams, and focused on execution. The role involves managing timelines, keeping campaign trackers up to date, aligning internal and external stakeholders, and helping maintain day-to-day momentum across campaigns in multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the daily execution of campaigns across online and offline channels, ensuring each workstream stays aligned with agreed timelines and outputs.
  • Work closely with internal functions such as retail operations, e-commerce, CRM, performance marketing, and creative teams, along with external agencies, to support end-to-end delivery.
  • Monitor campaign tasks and follow up on pending items, raising delays or roadblocks early to the relevant teams.
  • Make sure all campaign materials — including creative assets, copy, push notifications, WhatsApp, SMS, and email content — are reviewed, approved, and launched on time.
  • Assist with campaign setup and quality checks for mechanics across app banners, landing pages, and digital activations.
  • Create and manage detailed workback plans covering all dependencies from briefing through to post-launch review.
  • Maintain a current campaign tracker with ownership, timelines, deliverables, and status across all active work.
  • Spot delivery risks early and escalate them with practical recommendations for resolution.
  • Organize campaign kick-off calls, progress reviews, and cross-functional meetings, including agendas and action tracking.
  • Serve as the main day-to-day contact between the campaign team and stakeholders from e-commerce, retail operations, CRM, digital, and creative/agency partners.
  • Ensure approvals, inputs, and sign-offs are collected from the appropriate stakeholders at the right stage.
  • Coordinate with onsite and commercial teams to gather promotional details, pricing, and product information needed for execution.
  • Work with creative agencies and production partners to manage delivery timelines and asset quality.
  • Support the development of campaign briefs by capturing objectives, target audience, channel mix, timing, and success measures.
  • Collect post-campaign results from relevant teams and platforms and assist in building performance reports and retrospectives.
  • Keep an orderly archive of briefs, approvals, schedules, reports, and campaign learnings.
  • Help prepare weekly and monthly campaign performance updates for internal audiences.
  • Support the Campaign Manager in improving templates, playbooks, tools, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure governance practices, including documentation, approvals, and sign-offs, are consistently followed.
  • Encourage process discipline across teams by keeping deadlines visible and workflows on track.
  • Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to the Campaign Manager.
  • Assist with performance management activities by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and inputs to senior management.
  • Contribute to identifying training needs and coordinating with the Human Capital team for required training support.
  • Help ensure corporate policies and relevant procedures are implemented within the retail function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an MBA is also noted.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in marketing, campaign coordination, or project management.
  • Exposure to retail, e-commerce, QSR, or FMCG marketing environments is preferred.
  • Practical experience managing campaigns across multiple stakeholders and channels.
  • Strong project management ability, including experience building and maintaining launch or campaign trackers.
  • Working understanding of marketing channels such as performance media, CRM, push, WhatsApp, email, social, in-store, POS, and BTL.
  • Ability to interpret basic campaign metrics such as CTR, conversions, and engagement, and work comfortably with dashboards and reports.
  • Experience coordinating creative and production workflows and managing asset delivery with internal and external teams.
  • Familiarity with omni-channel campaign execution in retail, e-commerce, F&B, or FMCG is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several campaigns and workstreams at once.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including meeting facilitation, briefing, and follow-up management.
  • Ownership-oriented, proactive approach with the ability to anticipate issues before escalation is needed.
  • High attention to detail in documentation, timelines, and task tracking.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and across geographies.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, multi-market retail environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong English communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing; Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
