Role overview
This position is for an Assistant Manager/Manager focused on valuation and financial advisory work for a varied client base. The role centers on guiding engagement teams, building and checking sophisticated financial models, carrying out business valuation work, producing polished client-facing materials, and helping senior leaders with business development activities. The right candidate will bring a strong grounding in valuation, along with project coordination, client management, and team leadership skills.
Valuation and financial analysis
- Create and review advanced financial models and valuation analyses using appropriate methods such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), market multiples, comparable transactions, and other widely accepted approaches.
- Test whether assumptions, methods, forecasts, sensitivity cases, and valuation outputs are logical, consistent, and accurate.
- Carry out business valuations, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocation work, impairment reviews, and other related assignments.
- Study historical financial statements, operational performance, and market data to identify the main drivers of value, as well as risks and opportunities.
- Review financial models and run stress tests to assess model reliability and forecast quality.
- Perform detailed research on companies, industries, market trends, and economic conditions to support valuation conclusions and strategic advice.
- Assess industry structure, competitive positioning, and market shifts that may affect client performance.
- Convert complex financial analysis into clear, practical, decision-ready insights for clients and other stakeholders.
- Prepare strong valuation reports, advisory reports, and executive presentations.
- Present findings to senior leadership and clients, emphasizing major financial trends, valuation drivers, risks, and strategic opportunities.
Engagement management and leadership
- Handle several valuation and advisory assignments at the same time while ensuring deadlines, quality, and execution standards are met.
- Track project status, budgets, and resource use to support efficient delivery.
- Make sure engagement documentation follows internal quality, risk, and record-keeping requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to deliver well-rounded advisory solutions.
- Coach, supervise, and develop junior staff through mentoring, training, and day-to-day guidance.
- Review junior team outputs and provide useful feedback to maintain technical quality.
- Assign tasks effectively to improve team efficiency and engagement outcomes.
- Encourage a cooperative, high-performing team culture.
Stakeholder management and business development
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and engagement teams.
- Coordinate with Directors, Partners, and senior management on delivery, client issues, and overall project direction.
- Support proposal development, client opportunities, and broader business development efforts.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional credentials such as CFA, or an equivalent qualification, are preferred. Candidates should have 5–8 years of relevant experience in valuation, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm or a leading consulting environment. Strong familiarity with valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling is essential, along with prior experience leading teams and client-facing assignments.
