Role overview
This is a fixed-term, full-time administration opportunity based in Palmerston North, with the contract running until May 2027. The role is set at 40 hours per week and supports the Customer and Services and Customer Support teams.
What you will do
You will help manage customer-related administration connected to the land transport system. The work includes scanning, collating, and recording incoming customer communications, as well as manually checking customer interactions with the tolling system.
Salary
The expected salary for this role is NZD 62,100, depending on skills and experience.
About you
To succeed in this position, you should be confident using several software systems, have a sharp eye for detail, and be comfortable working independently. You will also need to manage your time well, stay effective under pressure, communicate clearly in both speaking and writing, and show a strong commitment to your work.
You should either already understand, or be willing to learn, Te Ao Māori and tikanga, and be open to building your understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it applies in the public sector.
About the team
The Te Mahau | Customer and Services Group focuses on creating a smooth land transport experience by making products and services simple, effective, and easy to use. The team works to improve operational delivery, strengthen customer experience, and support backend services for areas such as licensing, ERP incentive schemes, National Ticketing, and Safety Camera Systems and ticketing.
