Description de l'emploi
The opportunity
As an Enliven Support Worker, you will travel to clients’ homes and provide practical day-to-day assistance for older adults, people with disabilities, and people in recovery. Support may include personal care such as showering and dressing, administering medication, preparing meals, helping with household tasks, and supporting participation in community activities. The exact mix of duties will vary according to each client’s care needs, and you will be expected to follow the agreed care plan and keep it up to date.
Hours are available throughout the week, including weekends, and there is flexibility in scheduling.
About you
This role will suit someone who is naturally kind, empathetic, and comfortable supporting people in their own homes. You should enjoy working with a variety of people and be confident delivering respectful, high-quality care.
Requirements
- You must be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or hold a valid work visa that allows you to work in this role.
- A current full New Zealand driver licence is essential, along with access to a dependable vehicle for travel between clients. International driver licences are not accepted.
- You need to be available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- You must have strong English communication skills, with the ability to read care instructions and plans and speak clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills are required so you can interact positively with a wide range of people.
- You should be able to work to professional standards and follow policies and care practices carefully.
- Compassion and respect for elderly people, disabled people, and people in recovery are essential.
- You need to feel confident visiting different clients in their homes and providing varied support as needed.
