Role overview

This position is for a Shift Incharge in the Paintshop, supporting ACED and liquid paint operations at the manufacturing site. The role focuses on guiding shift teams, meeting daily output targets, and maintaining a disciplined, performance-driven environment across production activities.

Team and business context

The production function is responsible for aligning shift resources and driving key operational metrics across the SQCDM framework so that battery manufacturing runs smoothly. The role also involves planning training on the job to build multi-skilled associates and strengthen shift capability.

Key technical responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical supervision for Cathode Electro Deposition (ACED) and liquid paint processes, including equipment handling and process flow sequencing.
  • Monitor and control critical operating parameters such as film thickness, viscosity, voltage, and chemical composition to reduce defects and maintain consistency.
  • Stay current with new manufacturing technologies and introduce practical improvements where relevant.
  • Keep the production process stable and healthy while ensuring plant and equipment remain in good working condition.

Quality, compliance, and coordination

  • Ensure that output from the shift follows the organization’s quality systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Partner with New Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to support new product introductions and prevent issues related to products, tooling, or fixtures.
  • Maintain readiness for internal process audits, stock audits, and external ISO certification audits.

Experience and education
