Role overview

This position focuses on the day-to-day support and upkeep of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions spanning Material, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, Finance, and EAM areas. The work includes handling change requests, tracking workflows, improving data quality, supporting replication, resolving incidents, and coordinating closely with both business and technical stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Provide functional support for SAP MDG activities across Material, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, Finance, and EAM domains.
  • Track, investigate, and troubleshoot change requests, workflow steps, and approval paths.
  • Set up and maintain BRF+ rules for validations and derivations.
  • Support the Data Replication Framework and help fix replication breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, service requests, and workflow-related problems.
  • Carry out root cause analysis for governance and replication incidents.
  • Assist with data modeling, process design, and user interface modeling tasks.
  • Review background jobs, IDocs, and system interfaces for issues.
  • Take part in UAT, regression checks, release validation, and go-live assistance.
  • Maintain strong data quality, governance standards, and audit preparedness.
  • Work with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to close issues and deliver enhancements.

Skills and experience

  • Hands-on functional experience with SAP MDG.
  • Practical exposure to one or more MDG areas such as Material, Customer/Vendor, Finance, or EAM.
  • Strong understanding of change request handling.
  • Experience monitoring and resolving workflow issues.
  • Knowledge of BRF+ validations and derivation logic.
  • Familiarity with DRF and replication troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze IDocs and interface flows.
  • Background in production support and incident handling.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Nice to have: data modeling, process modeling, UI/FPM modeling, SAP workflow, ServiceNow, SAP MDG implementation experience, and manufacturing domain exposure.
