Role overview
This position is based at Anantara Downtown Dubai in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Anantara Hotels & Resorts is an international luxury hospitality brand with Thai roots, known for delivering warm, genuine service. The company was established in 2001 in Thailand and has since grown to destinations around the world, including beaches, islands, heritage locations, and major cities.
The Reservation Agent role supports the Reservations Supervisor in improving the performance of the reservations function on property. The role focuses on following standard operating procedures, maintaining accurate booking processes, and enhancing the overall guest experience while also helping to maximize revenue and team satisfaction.
Key duties
You will monitor day-to-day arrivals and make sure guest requests are communicated and handled appropriately. The role also involves managing inventory across systems, including allotments, group blocks, and rate codes. In addition, you will assist the Reservations Manager with upselling efforts and with making the best use of distribution channels such as IBE, GDS, Tour Operators, Small Luxury Hotels, Regional Sales Offices, and Corporate Sales Offices.
Requirements and qualifications
The ideal candidate should be comfortable using hotel technology such as Opera Cloud and RMS, and should understand how reservation distribution channels work. A good grasp of the local and regional market, nearby competitors, and destination events is also important.
