Production Executive

Role overview

Hindustan Unilever Limited is hiring a Production Executive to support smooth, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations at its facility in Kerala. The position focuses on day-to-day production oversight, process improvement, target achievement, and strong compliance with safety and quality expectations.

What you will do

• Direct and coordinate everyday production work, including planning, scheduling, and execution, so output goals and timelines are met.
• Track manufacturing activities, spot delays or inefficiencies, and introduce corrective measures to improve throughput and cut waste.
• Maintain full compliance with company rules, safety requirements, quality systems such as ISO, HACCP, and GMP, as well as environmental standards.
• Lead, support, and engage production operators through coaching, training, and regular performance inputs.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Compile and review production data, monitor KPIs, and share insights with management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement work, lean initiatives, and root-cause analysis for recurring production issues.
• Manage stock of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods in the production area.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges to reduce downtime and maintain continuity.
• Maximize machine and equipment usage, and coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive as well as corrective upkeep.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Production, or another relevant technical discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in production supervision or an executive capacity in a manufacturing setup, ideally within FMCG.
• Working knowledge of production systems, quality assurance, and workplace safety practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Comfort with production planning tools and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar improvement frameworks will be an advantage.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours whenever production needs demand it.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Additional information

This role is based in Kerala, India and is a full-time onsite position. The job profile also requires working flexible hours, including shifts, depending on production schedules.
