About the role
Mace brings together construction know-how and consultancy services to help people, projects, and ambitions reach their full potential. The company is looking for a Planning Manager to contribute to a major next-generation digital infrastructure programme in Abu Dhabi. The assignment supports a leading data centre developer and involves high levels of design coordination, rapid delivery, and strong governance within a mission-critical setting.
The role sits within a team applying international best practice across programme, project, and commercial management to help deliver resilient infrastructure at scale.
What you will do
- Create comprehensive, joined-up project plans that account for logistics, site conditions, and wider programme constraints.
- Work closely with the project team to support weekly progress updates and make sure contractual duties are clearly understood.
- Analyse productivity and progress information to assess performance and support better decisions.
- Keep clients, project teams, and other stakeholders informed and aligned through clear communication.
- Build sustainability, procurement, and carbon-reduction considerations into programme planning.
- Ensure health and safety requirements are incorporated into programme activities.
- Set up and manage project work plans, timelines, and coordinated team tasks.
- Contribute to the shared goal of net zero carbon transition by helping identify and manage carbon emissions and reduction opportunities throughout delivery.
What you need
- A degree, or equivalent practical experience, in construction, programme management, project management, or commercial management.
- Progress toward chartered status with a recognised professional institution.
- Strong expertise in schedule management tools and planning software.
- Previous work experience in the United Arab Emirates is required for client approval.
