Planning Manager

Role Overview

URC Construction is seeking a seasoned Planning Manager for industrial construction work in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The role calls for a professional with deep experience in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project control across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update master project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Build project baselines, work breakdown structures, resource plans, and cash flow projections.
• Track project progress and compare actual performance against the planned schedule.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to keep execution on track.
• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports, look-ahead plans, and delay analysis documents.
• Spot schedule risks early and suggest corrective steps to protect milestones.
• Monitor critical activities and ensure contractual timelines are met.
• Assist tendering and pre-construction teams with planning inputs and schedule development.
• Lead progress review discussions and share project status updates with management.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prior experience in industrial construction projects.
• Solid capability in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Understanding of resource planning, cash flow forecasting, and project controls.
• Ability to prepare MIS reports and carry out delay analysis.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Qualification

A Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required. PMP or Primavera certification will be considered a plus.
