Personal Support Worker

Role Overview

Bayshore HealthCare is hiring caring and committed Personal Support Workers to provide compassionate home and community-based care. The role focuses on helping clients of different ages and backgrounds while creating meaningful daily interactions and delivering high-quality support.

Service locations include Smiths Falls, Perth, Westport, and nearby communities. This position is full-time, and a $500 sign-on bonus is available for full-time hires.

Education and Skills

A Personal Support Worker diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, and proof of education must be provided. Strong written and spoken English communication skills are necessary. Applicants should also have a valid driver’s licence, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.

Screening and Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates must be prepared to submit two supervisory references, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening, and proof of a negative TB test. Depending on provincial rules and the nature of the position, new hires may also need to show proof of vaccination against certain illnesses such as COVID-19, hepatitis, or seasonal influenza.
