Job Summary
The City of Nixa is seeking a diligent Meter Reader to accurately record water and electric meter consumption, supporting essential utility operations. This full-time, non-exempt position is primarily based outdoors within the City of Nixa's jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Accurately read and record consumption data from water and electric meters.
- Ensure precise data collection to support utility billing and operational functions.
- Work independently outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Maintain a valid State of Missouri driver's license.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous experience in meter reading is required.
- Possession of a valid State of Missouri driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
Additional Information
This position reports directly to the Utility Account Supervisor in the Finance Department and does not involve supervisory responsibilities. The application period is open until June 30, 2026.
