Role overview
An internationally active company is looking for a seasoned M&A professional to strengthen its deal team. The focus of the position is on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and the further development of the portfolio.
This opportunity is aimed at someone with around 6 to 9 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or private equity who enjoys shaping transactions from the company side rather than only advising on them. The client operates in the health services sector and is seeking support immediately in Hamburg.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of national and international M&A projects, mainly buy-side work and selectively sell-side assignments.
- Build valuation models, conduct financial modelling, prepare business case analyses, and perform strategic market assessments.
- Manage internal stakeholders and external advisers throughout the full transaction lifecycle.
- Oversee due diligence, contract discussions, and deal execution through signing and closing.
- Contribute to portfolio strategy, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
Candidate profile
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a closely related field.
- An excellent academic record in business, finance, or a similar discipline.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, company valuation, and strategic analysis.
- Proven experience handling complex projects and working with senior-level stakeholders.
- Confident presence, entrepreneurial mindset, and fluent business German and English.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
