Role Overview
This opening is for a Technology Analyst with a system administration focus in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is part of a global digital services and consulting environment and centers on supporting IT operations, security controls, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities. Compensation is described as competitive and includes a bonus.
What You Will Do
- Carry out requirement analysis, define workstreams and modules, and help lead execution to deliver strong outcomes.
- Work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to support banking and infrastructure technology initiatives.
- Review, analyze, and track closure of vulnerabilities for UAE and international ISO teams.
- Investigate the technical details of vulnerabilities and route them to the right teams for remediation.
- Run weekly follow-ups with country teams on vulnerability status, pending items, and closure support.
- Maintain Phoenix and Phoenix Secure dashboard records in JIRA, including action plans, due dates, assignees, and fixed issues.
- Share weekly progress updates on vulnerability remediation with IT Risk, program/project managers, and service heads, and escalate blockers where needed.
- Coordinate with GSO on scan status, asset coverage, false positives, reopened items, and any evidence or gaps.
- Work with IT Risk to correct any misassigned vulnerabilities.
- Partner with infrastructure domain teams and other stakeholders to drive remediation and update action plans and target dates.
- Prioritize closure of items tied to regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and circulate vulnerability assessment reports for relevant teams.
- Support the IT technical team when changes need to be implemented in relation to vulnerabilities.
- Manage internal and external ISO audit engagements and help ensure efficient use of resources and achievement of objectives.
- Identify internal control weaknesses and share recommendations for compliance with findings and legal requirements.
- Develop and present an annual risk assessment to help identify and prioritize audits and improvement areas.
- Review policies and procedures for alignment with internal controls, external regulations, and asset protection requirements.
- Recommend enhancements to audit processes and information security / IT policies.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of banking and infrastructure technology, along with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Comfort dealing with senior management and managing stakeholders effectively.
- High ethical standards and solid business judgment.
- Strong analytical ability, including data analysis and organized working practices.
- Trusted, tactful, and diplomatically minded with strong interpersonal conduct.
- Current understanding of audit, compliance, and risk-management trends and practices.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with significant person-to-person interaction expected.
- Deep familiarity with IT operations and security control areas such as cloud security, application security, change management, disaster recovery, datacenter operations, information security, and networks.
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational ability, including influencing without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of security, IT compliance, and audit frameworks and regulatory standards such as NESA, GDPR, MAS, HKMA, NIST 800-53, COBIT, ISO 27001, OWASP, ITILv3, and CSA.
- High initiative, flexibility, customer focus, and quality orientation.
