Role overview
This position sits in the Corporate Controllership function and focuses on protecting financial accuracy, maintaining reliable reporting, and supporting enterprise-wide balance sheet governance. The team works across finance, regulators, business units, and auditors to strengthen controls, meet compliance requirements, and keep reconciliation processes healthy.
What you will do
- Review, analyze, and report on the AXP and segment balance sheet.
- Maintain strong balance sheet quality across the enterprise, with emphasis on timely investigation and closure of reconciling items.
- Work closely with account owners, regulators, and entity/segment controllers.
- Drive process improvement by supporting automation initiatives and ensuring adherence to management policies.
- Help improve the control environment by supporting audit readiness and reinforcing internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures, including SOX, Process Risk Self-Assessment, and both statutory and internal audits.
- Identify opportunities to redesign or automate work instead of continuing with legacy approaches.
- Guide a team of accounting professionals by coaching them on execution, leadership, and career development.
What the role expects
- Qualified CA or graduate with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical ability and a clear understanding of how processes connect to one another.
- Solid accounting knowledge and hands-on expertise.
- Comfort with new ideas and the confidence to advocate for them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to influence and align others without formal authority.
- Self-driven and able to work effectively in uncertain or ambiguous situations.
- Confidence in engaging with senior leaders, finance teams, business partners, and customers.
- Leadership capability to train, motivate, and communicate with a diverse workforce.
- Proven people management skills, including experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
