Role Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee core finance and accounting activities end to end, support statutory and management reporting, ensure compliance, manage audits and tax obligations, and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full purchase-to-pay cycle, including purchase order placement, goods and services receipt, invoice booking, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
- Serve as the main contact for vendors, keep supplier relationships positive, and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle the sales-to-receivables cycle, covering invoicing, receipt tracking, follow-ups, reconciliation, and debtor control.
- Authorize journal vouchers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed asset, and banking entries in the accounting system, while keeping all records in the required physical or digital format.
- Review the trial balance, supporting schedules, and reconciliations on a regular and monthly basis to ensure books remain accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including budget-versus-actual variance analysis, and share them with relevant stakeholders on time.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits or reviews, whether financial, compliance-related, or otherwise, in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
- Ensure audit observations are closed in a timely manner.
- Manage withholding tax and VAT compliance, including monthly return filing, payments, and maintenance of all supporting documents and records.
- Oversee annual and quarterly tax and zakat processes, including payment and submission of returns within required timelines.
- Handle loan drawdowns according to the finance documents or CTA, and make sure debt servicing obligations are met on schedule.
- Prepare timely reports for lenders, LTA, LLA, and other advisors in line with covenant and reporting requirements.
- Maintain effective relationships with lenders, LTA, and LLA to support smooth financial operations.
- Provide recurring and ad hoc financial and non-financial reporting to the Group and other business partners.
- Assess dividend distribution levels to maximize shareholder returns while protecting debt service commitments and optimizing working capital usage.
Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree or a professional credential such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA is preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting is required.
- Prior experience in the data center industry is mandatory, along with exposure to the Middle Eastern market.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and audit procedures is essential.
- Solid capability in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is needed.
- Practical experience using ERP systems, advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools is required.
