About the role
CPP Investments is seeking an Executive Assistant for a 12-month contract in Toronto. This position supports senior leaders and the broader team with a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks in a fast-paced, professional setting. The work is highly collaborative and requires discretion, accuracy, and strong organizational judgment.
The role involves supporting a global investment organization focused on delivering long-term, sustainable results for Canadians. You will work alongside colleagues who value performance, partnership, and high standards, and you will contribute to work that has meaningful organizational impact.
What you will do
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to Managing Directors and other team members.
- Arrange and manage complex international travel, including itineraries and related logistics.
- Draft and prepare executive- and department-level materials, ensuring timely submission and careful attention to detail.
- Maintain several busy calendars, organize internal and external meetings, reserve rooms and calls, and coordinate with teams across regions and offices.
- Support planning and coordination for team and department events.
- Assist with onboarding activities for new hires joining the team.
- Work with outside partners, vendors, assistants, and other stakeholders to schedule meetings and events.
- Partner with other Executive Assistants and internal teams to improve efficiency and deliver broader departmental support.
- Make sure leaders are fully prepared for meetings and that action items are tracked and carried forward.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion.
- Help coordinate and execute key internal processes for the team.
What the employer is looking for
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree.
- At least 6 years of experience in administrative support within a demanding professional environment.
- Previous exposure to financial services or a similar industry is considered an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with complex calendar coordination, arranging high-level meetings and events, travel booking, and expense reimbursement.
- Proven ability to support senior professionals while balancing competing priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Calendar, along with openness to learning new systems.
