Environmental Services Aide - Full Time, Shift 2

Role overview

In this role, you will support the Environmental Services team in delivering consistently high housekeeping standards. The work involves routine cleaning and replenishing of patient rooms, nursing stations, restrooms, offices, and other assigned spaces, following the department’s approved procedures and the standards of the hospital.

You are expected to maintain a courteous, approachable, and professional manner while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Help keep EVS operations running smoothly by maintaining reliable attendance.
• Begin each shift in line with department policies and required procedures.
• Carry a fair share of the daily workload as directed by EVS leadership.
• Support housekeeping quality goals by helping meet the organization’s average monthly overall room score target.
• Close out each shift properly according to department policy and procedure.

Education

High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Experience

Prior experience in a healthcare setting or public lodging environment is preferred.

Skills and abilities

You should be able to communicate clearly in both speaking and writing, work well in a structured team setting, and follow instructions whether they are given verbally or in writing. The position also calls for the ability to manage a busy, high-pressure work environment and to report to work consistently and on time.
