Laminex New Zealand is part of the Building Products division of Fletcher Building Products Ltd. The business is known for supplying decorative surfaces and panel products, backed by specialist product knowledge and strong value for customers.
Role overview
An opportunity has opened for a Warehouse / Distribution Centre Operator to join the Penrose, Auckland team. This is a permanent full-time position in a collaborative environment.
What you will do
- Work with an assigned experienced team member when you start, so you have support while learning the role.
- Pick, build, and pack customer orders accurately.
- Complete dispatch paperwork and prepare loads for delivery.
- Receive incoming stock, check quantities, and sign off goods correctly.
- Carry out or assist with rolling stocktakes across all product lines.
- Operate reach and counterbalance forklifts on a daily basis in a busy distribution centre.
- Handle manual lifting and move products around the warehouse.
Work schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
What you need
- 1 to 2 years of recent experience operating counterbalance and/or reach forklifts.
- Previous work history in warehousing and distribution.
- Confidence using basic computer systems and warehouse software.
- SAP experience, or exposure to a similar warehouse management system, is an advantage.
- Ability to take direction and contribute effectively in a team.
- Comfort with working at heights.
- Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and the ability to find and manage information in systems.
- Good physical fitness, as manual handling is part of the job.
