Overview

Crowne Plaza Midtown, operated by Northwest x Southern Hospitality (NSH), is hiring a Bartender in Anchorage, Alaska. This role is part of a hospitality team that focuses on creating memorable guest experiences in award-winning properties across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Role summary

The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food with accuracy, consistency, and speed while maintaining a courteous and welcoming attitude. The position also includes preparing drinks for other service staff, handling cashier duties for the outlet as needed, and supporting coordination between the restaurant, hotel departments, and group or event service needs.

What you will do

• Serve drinks and food to guests in a friendly, timely, and consistent manner.
• Prepare beverages accurately for guests and for other servers to deliver.
• Act as cashier for the outlet and service staff when needed.
• Support the hotel and restaurant in maintaining business relationships.
• Work with different hotel departments to coordinate group, event, and food-and-beverage service across outlets.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with hotel or hospitality experience preferred. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities are important. A state alcohol certification is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it. A state food handler certification is also required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it.

Schedule requirement

The role requires availability for evening shifts, specifically from 4:00 PM until closing.

Insurance is generally not offered to part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours per week or to seasonal employees employed for less than six months.
